Lip Enhancement

Lip enhancements London, Lip fillers London, Juvederm London, Dermal Fillers London,

As we age, the lips get thinner as they lose fat and collagen. Lip enhancement is a specialist art and the results can be amazing. Lips can be plumped and reshaped, but the best results are achieved by those with significant experience and skill. Dr. Bruno Amendola has over twenty years of experience with lip enhancement.

The fillers we use contain hyaluronic acid, which is found throughout the body. It gives volume and elasticity to the skin, and gives it more of a youthful appearance.

WHO CAN HAVE LIP FILLERS?

Anyone who wants to volumise and change the shape of their lips is suitable. Some patients want lip fillers due to age related aesthetic concerns and the “drooping” effect that ageing brings. Other patients simply tell us that they have always had thin lips and would like some volume.

WHAT GOES ON DURING THE TREATMENT?

A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied half an hour before treatment in order to minimise any discomfort during the actual treatment.

Next, a very fine needle is used to inject the filler into the precise locations in the lips where volume is desired.

During the injection process, the doctor will massage the lips to distribute the filler to get the exact shape the patient desires.

WHAT CAN BE ENHANCED?

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS? HOW LONG WILL THEY LAST

You will be able to see the results immediately after the filler is injected. The results will last for about six months, but some patients report it lasting longer than this.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

No, there is no downtime. The lips may be slightly red and swollen after treatment and there may be some slight bruising. However, light makeup can be used to camouflage any bruising 24-48 hours after the procedure is done.

We apply a numbing anaesthetic cream thirty minutes prior to injecting in order to give the smallest amount of discomfort possible. Also, the fillers we use contain lidocaine, so the process gets less uncomfortable as it goes on. The process is stress-free and almost completely painless.
